Very pretty.. Absolutely ♥♥♥♥ing baller. I expected a silly meme game but got a thematically beautiful Zelda/Metroid-like with top shelf internet humor. The only thing I'd change would be to have 5 unique ability powerups per world instead of getting all 5 in the first world, then 2 small upgrades in the entire rest of the game.The first world feels so fresh and amazing because you're constantly getting new abilities. It's like a Metroidvania in microcosm. But it feels less fresh after that when you don't get any new abilities, just the ability to break glass with the sword which is only used in one world, and a camera upgrade (which is put to much better use, admittedly).Since there are only 4 worlds, having 5 unique ability powerups per world seems entirely feasible, at just 20 in total. It would sustain that feeling of freshness and constant discovery from the first world, throughout the entire game. Perhaps for a sequel? The worlds could be themed after different meme genres of music like New Retro Wave, Seapunk, Slimepunk, etc. The final note is that this game absolutely screams VR. It is absolutely a natural fit for VR and I'm surprised it doesn't already have it since nothing about how the HUD is set up precludes adaptation to VR. The items are just floating models or sprites and menus could float in front of you easily enough.. This game is a true masterpiece.If you are into vaporwave music/aesthetics an have a decent knowledge in memes, especially surreal memes you will really enjoy this game. It is slow paced and is meant to relax and enjoy the content of the game. Unlike other vaporwave themed games on Steam, this one isn't a trash 1$ game made in one hour, there is a lot of work behind it in order to create a special atmosphere that feels like home.. Broken Reality was a fantastic and wonderful adventure that I desperately didn't want to end.Fantastic music, incredible vaporwave visuals and everything about the game was just a joy to me.I think this is just one of those games that are a must have experiance on steam and it's worth it's price for sure and even the soundtrack is worth it.This is for people who love vapor wave and cyberpunk aesthetics.I cannot recommend Broken reality enough.I never expected it to be as fun as it was.A very pleasent SurpriseThank you so much to Vinny from Vinesauce for playing this game and making me want to buy it so badly and finally playing it and finishing it.. I use to love listen vaporwave on youtube, I love memes images, AND i love facebook. This game got it all is like a facebook simulator in a world of internet. I love the charm detail by adding some easter eggs in the game. This game also reminds me of LSD Dream Simulator on PS1 except that this game does it right by adding objectives and quest.I highly recommend to people who really wants something to kick back and relax, and play this game.
